Medfield Orthopedic & Sports Therapy has extensive policies in place to prioritize the health and safety of our staff and patients. Please read and review the following protocols and information regarding a safe opening:

  • One patient at a time: there will only be one patient and one physical therapist in each designated clinical space
  • 45 to 60-minute treatments: each visit will be scheduled in a 45 to 60-minute slot. We have extended our scheduled slots to allow for one-to-one visits and time for cleaning between patients
  • No communal equipment that cannot be properly cleaned: patients will bring in their personal equipment for each visit that has been provided by Medfield Orthopedic & Sports Therapy
  • Everyone wears a mask: all patients and staff will be required to wear a mask while in the clinic


What is your cleaning protocol?

  • Wipe down all door handles, light switches, faucet handles, water bubble and waiting room chairs (when used)
  • All used exercise equipment to be wiped or to receive disinfecting wand
  • Plinths sprayed down with cleaning spray and towel
  • Change pillow cases and sheets
  • Wipe down front office counters and computers, phones as necessary


What is your in clinic protocol?

  • Everyone entering the clinic is required to wear face mask
  • When able, 6-feet distancing should be maintained
  • Family members should wait in the car whenever possible, except if accompanying a minor


Other clinic set up items:

  • Remove all papers, magazines, coffee stations in waiting rooms
  • Waiting room chairs will be 6-feet apart and limited to 2 chairs in each area
  • Minimize front office exposure and communication
